The leaves and grass or background can be different colors of green. Irises are usually shades of purple, but there are other colors, too. Narcissus and daffodils are usually yellows and oranges, but I have seen some with pink and white. Magnolias are usually pale pink and white. Lilies, daisies, tulips and geometric flowers can be colored most any color. ![]() If I color the whites and yellows and light pinks before adding deep purples and greens, my light crayons or paints will not drag the dark colors into my flowers. I like to start with the light colors first. Plan your colors ahead of time so you can have nicely colored flowers and foliage. Flowers are like surprises in the garden.
